PRACTICE

What does this mean in relation to firearms. After you take that beginners class is it all over. Do you put your firearm away until you need it? Of course not. You also do not necessarily have to go to the range everyday/week.

There are multiple ways to improve your shooting, Dry fire practice is one of these. Make sure all live ammo is out of the room your practicing in.

You can use snap caps or ammo which can shoot a laser beam when the trigger is pulled. There are also SIRT pistols which work with a computer program which simulate your shots.

We use the SIRT pistol and LASR program in our courses and find them to be very helpful for the students.

Dry firing will help you with your grip, firearm presentation, trigger control, site alignment and intuitive shooting principals.

Remember when you practice pick 1 or 2 items to concentrate on that day. When you feel comfortable with them move on to new techniques next time you practice. consistency and repetition will work wonders for you.
